Danielle Shumskas (Pipersville, PA) has been public with her struggles with Graves Disease that compromised her 2019 track season. Heck, when we approached her about joining our team for 2020 Danielle wasn't even sure when racing would be an option for her. Fortunately she has managed to control the condition so well that she's back on the track at the Valley Preferred Cycling Center (Trexlertown, PA) and competing successfully in this weird, abbreviated 2020 season. On Saturday June 20th, Danielle competed in the Ocean Spray Amateur Time Trial competition in both the flying 200 meter and 500 meter, finishing 3rd and 4th respectively while setting new personal records in both. On Saturday June 27th, Danielle snuck in a win and another personal record in the 500 m time trial before the rains interrupted the event. Danielle's success resulted in her being awarded her "Category 2" racing license upgrade!
