Sam Smith Takes on the Bucks Classic

In 2011 we opened a 400 square foot bicycle shop in the basement of the Hart Building at the corner of Court Street and Main Street in Doylestown Borough. Six days in a young man named Sam Smith walked into the shop and said "you should give me a jersey because I'm going to be a famous bicycle racer." On Sunday September 8th that resident of Doylestown Borough is going to race past his own home on Ashland Street as a member of the Pro 1/2 race at the Bucks County Classic and we couldn't be prouder that he's flying our colors.

Sam had an amazing 2019 season. He has two international starts for our team having raced at the Canadian national Velodrome in January and also the Tour de l'Albitibi in Northern Canada this summer. Along the way he collected local wins at the Thursday night criterium races in Trexlertown, PA and road races in New Jersey. Sam earned his "Category 2" racing license this summer (Professional racers are "Category 1"). He did all of this before entering his sophomore year at CB West High School this fall. We can't wait to see Sam kick butt in Doylestown this Sunday.
